The Juried Fine Arts Show this morning announced the recipients of several distinguished awards at a special artists’ breakfast at the festival in Royal Oak. Lisa Konikow and Donna Beaubien, co-directors of the Juried Fine Arts Show, acknowledged more than 120 artists for their talents and creativity. A total of $7,500 was awarded across 14 categories.
From ceramics and paintings to photographs and jewelry, the variety of work that will be on display through Monday at this year’s Juried Fine Art Show is certain to please festivalgoers.
“The competition for inclusion in this year’s show was fierce, with more than 500 artists applying for the opportunity to be a part of the show,” said Konikow. “Artists came from all over North America, including nearly three dozen from Michigan and 40 who were completely new.”
Recognized among the top art events in the United States, the fair has received a four-star rating from Sunshine Artist, America’s premier art and craft show magazine and has consistently hosted some of the best touring artists in the country.
