Beaumont hosts 8th annual breast health fairs in October

Beaumont Health System will host three community health fairs to observe National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. Attendees of the eighth annual Beaumont Breast Health Fairs can learn about breast cancer prevention, treatment, support, research trials and survivorship programs.

The fairs will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, suite 100 hallway on Oct. 1; Beaumont Hospital, Troy, second floor atrium on Oct. 8; and at the Breast Care Center at Beaumont Medical Center, West Bloomfield on Oct. 15. There is no charge to attend.

The health fairs will feature information on Beaumont’s:

  • Comprehensive Breast Care Centers 
  • Sharing & Caring Program
  • Cancer Genetics Program
  • Integrative Medicine Program
  • Ministrelli Women’s Heart Center
  • Silver Linings  
  • Clinical Trials
  • Home Medical Equipment
  • Cancer Survivorship Exercise and Wellness Program
  • One-to-One, Ovarian Cancer Support
  • Weight Control Center
  • Women’s Urology Center

“This is a great opportunity for women in the community to learn about the many services available through Beaumont Health System. In addition to promoting breast cancer awareness, prevention and survivorship, many other departments related to women’s health will be participating,” says Lorelei DiGuglielmo, program supervisor, Sharing & Caring, a breast cancer support network at Beaumont Health System.
