Royal Oak Varsity Lacrosse + Coach Harry Saville = Success

Royal Oak Varsity Lacrosse

Saville, himself a graduate of the Royal Oak Lacrosse program is preparing the Ravens for a play-off run.

Saturday, April 25, 2013 the Varsity Lacrosse team travelled to Stoney Creek High School.

The first quarter found the Ravens sitting back on their heels.  The Cougars quickly went up 3-0.

That all changed when Senior, Connor Farrand found the net.

The team was out to prove a point.  Spirits were high and the fans were lively.

Senior, Jake Pasikowski scored on a pass from Senior Trent Naismith.

Connor Farrand scored again, unassisted.

Trent Naismith played with the defenseman guarding him and made an incredible pass to Senior Trent Emlaw for the 4th Ravens goal.

Trent Emlaw returned the favor passing to Freshman, middie Biddle Beerer for a goal.

The Ravens took a pair of penalties and Connor Farrand scored his third on a pass from Jake Pasikowski in the 2 man down situation.

The Ravens went into half-time winning 6-5.

The Cougars scored early in the third.  

The Raven defense was headed by seniors John Milan and Tyler Beerer.  The two held off the Cougar "T-Rex" and moved the ball to the middies who were able to set up the offense.

Junior Liam Dwyer drew a slash and Jake Pasikowski was able to capitalize on a pass from Trent Emlaw.

Pasikowski drew a penalty and the Ravens offense cycled well around the goal which allowed Jake Pasikowski to find Trent Naismith to tie the game.

The winning goal was scored by Trent in a pass from Pasikowski.

Junior goalie, Matt Niemi earned the win.

In all, a glorious win for the Ravens.

Senior day is May 2, 2013. The Ravens will take on the Rochester High School team at home with a 7pm game time.
