Catch Tigers-Yankees Game 4 Showdown in Royal Oak

If you don't have tickets to Comerica Park tonight you might want to join the baseball fans in Royal Oak.

When Metro Detroiters want to celebrate, chances are downtown Royal Oak is near the top of the list for places for the party.

Dawn Magar, manager of , said Royal Oak was "rocking last night" as fans hit the downtown streets Monday looking for television sets, beer and people to cheer on the Detroit Tigers as they battled the New York Yankees in the American League Division Series.

One of Patch's Facebook friends suggested Lockhart's. While it doesn't have a lot of TVs it does have plenty of BBQ and a lot of team spirit, said Magar, who called Tigers fever "great for Detroit."

Bartender Jennifer Frassetto says what sets Rock on Third apart is its "neighborhood feel." Frassetto said "I came here on Sunday to watch the game and it was my day off!"

Keyholder Melissa Challis said BlackFinn has plans for a "huge" projection screen tonight and the "sound will be on," meaning it plans to pipe the broadcast audio through the house speakers.

"Every television will be on the Tigers tonight," said manager Stephanie Atias. Alex Bensky of Detroit said the TVs are "not the huge ones but they do have number of them and the beer is decent." It also has a television in its outdoor patio area for those who want to enjoy tonight's pleasant fall temperatures with lows forecast in the upper 50s.
