What does your business offer?
Child Safe Michigan is a foster care, adoption and mentoring agency working with neglected, abused and at risk children. As a Michigan-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we make a direct difference in hundreds of children’s lives every year.

-Foster Care: Child Safe Michigan provides foster care services to neglected and abused children.
More than just meeting the basic requirements, Child Safe provides safety and stability allowing children to grow
and thrive in our care.
-Adoption: Child Safe Michigan is an adoption agency finding permanent, safe and loving homes for children. Child Safe educates prospective adoptive parents and works to ensure that families stay connected
without disruption long after the adoption is finalized.
-Mentoring: Child Safe Michigan provides community and site based mentoring to foster and at risk youth. With a dedicated staff, Child Safe provides extensive training for mentors and ongoing support to mentors, mentees, foster parents and birth parents when children return home.

Providing foster care and adoption services to youth and families.
What's a fact about your business that most customers probably don't know?
Child Safe Michigan offers:
-Independent Living services and adoption support group for teens currently and formerly in foster care with any agency, and teens going through the adoption process.
-Monthly support groups for foster and adoptive parents.
-Full-time therapist on staff who provides counseling services to youth and families.

2006, reorganized in 2012
How did your business come to be?
Formerly part of a national nonprofit organization, ChildHelp, the ChildHelp Michigan Agency is now Child Safe Michigan. Due to growth and demand in our community, it became necessary to operate as an independent Michigan nonprofit. Our relationship with ChildHelp continues to be positive and Child Safe Michigan has their full support during and throughout this transition. Everyone is working with the best interest of children in mind.
Why did you choose the area you did?
Child Safe Michigan is located in Madison Heights Michigan. This location was chosen due to its close proximity to areas that we serve, primarily Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties.
