Crew Searching for Michigan's Best Barbecue Heading to Lockhart's BBQ in Royal Oak
A crew from the MLive news site is looking for the state's beest barbecue and will stop at Lockhart's BBQ in Royal Oak on Monday.
A Grand Rapids-based writer for MLive and radio personality is searching the state for the best barbecue and will take his tour to Royal Oak's own Monday morning.
John "Gonzo" Gonzales' plan is to visit 27 restaurants/caterers in five days, accompanied by Michael Terry, president of the Great Lakes Barbecue Association. MLive will chronicle each stop on the visit.
MLive readers voted and sent in suggestions of the best barbecue joints in the state.
