Hermann's Bakery Voted Royal Oak's Best Place to Buy Doughnuts, Paczki or Bagels

The results are in. was the most popular choice in our  this week for donuts, paczki and bagels.

Hermann's Bakery received 47 percent of the votes. trailed with 24 percent.

Richard Hermann is the owner of Hermann's Bakery. He took over the business from his father, George, who bought the bakery in 1942. The building last October for its preservation merit.

"We really want to thank all our customers," Hermann said. "And I want to thank our staff, too. We couldn’t do it without their help."

When told Patch readers thought Hermann’s had the best paczki, manager Pam Stodola simply said, “OF COURSE they did!”

Hermann’s Bakery is located at 317 S. Main St. in downtown Royal Oak. You will also find Hermann’s at the on weekends just south of the main east entrance.
