Excitement is Brewing Over Plans for Jolly Pumpkin in Royal Oak

News that the microbrewer has set its sights on a downtown site is creating a lot of buzz.

The response to news that microbrewer/restaurant Jolly Pumpkin may be c has been overwhelming. Nearly 300 Royal Oak readers shared the story on their Facebook pages in 24 hours.

On Royal Oak Patch’s Facebook page, reader reaction ranged from excitement to skepticism over one more downtown bar:

The Jolly Pumpkin concept combines hearth-baked pizzas and gourmet salads with "homemade” alcoholic beverages. The 379-seat restaurant will be built on the site of Citizen’s Bank at 218 S. Main St., which has been vacant for six years.
