Monday Night Football Comes to Emagine's Star Lanes

Watch the big game or distract yourself with a few frames at Royal Oak entertainment spot.

If you love bowling and Monday Night Football, put Royal Oak’s Star Lanes at the Emagine Theatre on the top of your list this football season.

Bowlers and gridiron fans get a treat this year as WRIF's Marc Fellhauer brings 'Everything That Rocks' to the lanes.  Joining Fellhauer on Monday evenings from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. to celebrate the 2011-12 football season will be WRIF Rock Girl Stacy W. (Stacy Walden) and the Detroit Pride Cheerleaders

"We'll be giving away all kinds of stuff and having a great time doing it," said Fellhauer, senior producer and on-air contributor of the Drew and Mike Show heard Monday through Friday mornings on WRIF.

"This is a great location for the big night," Fellhauer said. “If your team starts to tank you can distract yourself with a few rounds of bowling."

Ladies love football, too

Ever wonder what those WRIF Rock Girls do?  WRIF Rock Girl Stacy W. is more than just a pretty face.  Of course she likes rockin’ concerts and sports, but she’s also a business owner who loves horses, motorcycles, family and everything in between.  You'll see her at events all over town, including a few football games at the Big House at the University of Michigan on Saturday afternoons.

And what about those cheerleaders?  In 2010 the Detroit Pride Cheerleaders became the official, unofficial cheerleaders for the Detroit Lions.  The squad is not recognized as the official cheerleading team for the Lions yet, but hopes to be one day. They'll be cheering loud all night long on Monday nights at Star Lanes.  Emagine Theatres is one of their official sponsors so you’ll see the cheerleaders around town quite often.

“We really appreciate the local support in our endeavors to bringing more pride and a great cheerleading team to Detroit. Having Emagine step up in support of our mission is amazing,” said Stacey Latona, director of marketing and advertising for the team.

As for bowling, Fellhauer admits he's a terrible bowler and is planning to offer up a few bowling challenges.  "I haven't figured out the prizes yet, but you can bet there will be a few good ones," says Fellhauer.

Besides the great location, Fellhauer really likes the hours of the event.  In his line of work he’s awake and on air before the crack of dawn and up pretty late some nights.  The 7:30-9:30 p.m. time gives him the opportunity to get to sleep a little earlier.

What's available for the ladies on Monday's at Star Lanes, besides bowling?  Not the Chippendales, Fellhauer said.  "Who needs them when the ladies have me?"

Fellhauer predicts the Detroit Lions will make it to the playoffs this year as a wildcard and will end the season 9-7.
