Sneak Peek: New Arthur Murray Studio in Full Swing at Woodward Location

Royal Oak dance studio hangs chandeliers in new ballroom on Memorial Day in anticipation of today's opening.

Candace McKenzie, the owner of Royal Oak’s , was dancing on air Monday afternoon in anticipation of today's opening of her new studio at 30532 Woodward Ave., previously the home of Blockbuster Video.

"We have so much more room and natural light," McKenzie said. "Look at all the windows. All the cars that drive by on Woodward will be able to look in and see us dancing."

After 25 years on Main Street, McKenzie says she needs more room on the dance floor to accommodate between 75-95 students taking group lessons per week.
