New Greek Restaurant Opens Oct. 15

More than 100 people showed up to sample Greek street food Sunday night at KouZina, a new Main Street restaurant.

"We invited about 30 people to come and taste our food, but when other people saw we were open, they came in, too," said  Bobby Leslaris, one of the partners behind KouZina. 

Leslaris figured, "What the heck?" and let them in. The result was wall to wall patrons, even though the eatery doesn't officially open until next week.

On Monday afternoon, workers were putting up awnings; tables and chairs are on the way, Leslaris said.

"We're going to open on Monday (Oct. 15)," he said. "Everything is going to be made with the freshest ingredients. We don't even have a microwave."

KouZina will be open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 11 a.m. to 4 a.m. Friday and Saturday; noon to 9 p.m. on Sunday.

The restaurant is located at 121 N. Main St.
