Royal Oak's Kids Planet Holds Grand Reopening

To show off its new owner and inventory, Kids Planet in Royal Oak is hosting a grand reopening for the community this weekend.

Those heading to the store on Sunday can hang out and enjoy ice cream and face painting from noon to 2 p.m.

Customers will be treated to up to 75 percent off.

Kids Planet has a variety of gently used and new clothing (with tags and marked down), shoes, toys and accessories for newborns though about age 12.

"This is a dream come true for me," said new owner Pam Feldman, a Ferndale mother of three.

Kids Planet, which has been around for three years, will move toward a eco-chic vibe, Feldman said.

"I truly believe you don't need anything new," she said. "There is so much out there that has been used for only five months and then discarded."

Kids Planet is located at 210 W. Sixth St. in Royal Oak.
