The Michigan Aids Coalition Announces Leon & Lulu Shopping Event

Shop at Metro Detroit's award-winning lifestyle store Friday from 5-8 p.m. and help prevent HIV/AIDS in Michigan.

This week, the Michigan AIDS Coalition (MAC) will host a shopping event from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16 at metro-Detroit’s legendary lifestyle store, Leon & Lulu. Proceeds from the shopping event will help prevent HIV/AIDS in Michigan. 

Get a jump on holiday shopping season and explore one of Michigan’s most treasured gems – Leon & Lulu – with its fun accessories, unique gifts, well-designed furniture, and friendly and fun atmosphere. Located in the historic Ambassador Roller Rink, Leon & Lulu provides a shopping experience unlike any other. The mission of MAC is to prevent HIV/AIDS in Michigan by promoting healthy lifestyles, providing and investing in evidence-based, innovative programs and through advocacy and education. MAC is one of Michigan’s largest non-profit, community-based organizations dedicated to health promotion, harm and risk reduction, HIV and sexually transmitted disease prevention education, grant making and public policy. MAC has conducted thousands of workshops and trainings, reaching more than 500,000 people – 30,000 in the last year alone.   

MAC’s key annual fundraisers are some of the most well-attended and notable events in Detroit, including nationally acclaimed fundraisers, such as, Dining Out for Life Detroit held annually in April, and DIFFA Dining by Design and ArtWorks Detroit held in September. MAC is also the key benefactor of the Ferndale Blues & Music Festival held in January.
