The Wireless Center Opens in Downtown Royal Oak

'This is a popular place to be,' store manager says of new location during Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting event.

The got out the giant scissors once again for a ribbon cutting ceremony at at the corner of Main and Fourth streets Friday afternoon.

Greg Woodworth, district manger for the store, cut the big red ribbon in a 50 degree January heat wave. It was perfect weather for what store manager Ashlee Edwards predicts will a hot location for the cellular dealer.

“We love it here (in Royal Oak),” Edwards said. “There is a lot of foot traffic, plus there is a college and neighborhood nearby. This is a popular place to be.”

Edwards is familar with Royal Oak. She took classes at the Royal Oak campus of , just down the street.

The Wireless Center carries all the latest smartphones, tablets, mi-fi technology and accessories. “We’re a total solution store,” Edwards said.
