Can Anyone Recommend a Honest Contractor?

When a Royal Oak Patch Facebook reader asked us a contractor recommendation, we received lots of suggestions.

Royal Oak Patch Facebook reader Steve Krause wrote: "I'm thinking of adding a Florida room to my house. Can anyone recommend a good/honest contractor?"

We posted the question on Facebook and here are the suggestions that followed:

  • Patrice: Vincent James Construction. Vince is a Royal Oak resident who's done great work for us. Honest and reliable!
  • Karen: Contact Hire it Done.
  • Toby: 248-508-7318. Leckenby Construction and Painting. Chuck rules, I don't even call around to try anyone else anymore. He has done our stuff for 5-7 Years. Never a problem. Cleans up after himself. Good guy.
  • Bryden Homes Corporation: Bryden Homes Corporation would be happy to talk to Steve about a Florida room! We've built and renovated many homes in Royal Oak! Give Dennis a call 248-701-4988.
  • Jeffrey: The best, most honest contractor I've ever had the pleasure to work with is Rick Guay at Dg Installation . His whole crew was professional, polite and skilled. We did an entire gut and renovation of our 1924 Craftsmen Bungalow last year and Rick came in under budget and was able to keep within our six week time frame even with our numerous changes.
  • Carol: We just had our kitchen done by a Royal Oaker, Brandon, from Building Details on Main St., 248-219-6086, great job.
  • MaryKastler Construction in Royal Oak.
  • DebbieTri-Pups, Inc. can design it and build it for you. We are currently renovating the Royal Oak Chamber of Commerce office. Stop by anytime to see our work.
  • Christie: Don't know a contractor but, as someone who is house-hunting now, may I respectfully advise a different upgrade? A "Florida room," while nice, is just another living room to me. A walk-in closet, mudroom or first-floor laundry room seems more useful, and better for resale value.
  • Tracy: Myer Innovations - John Myer
