5 Things to Know this Week: Full Moon Walk, Bowl-A-Thon, Restaurant Week and More

There's a lot going on in Royal Oak this week. What do you have planned?

There's always a lot going on in Royal Oak. Here are some highlights this week:

  1. Full Moon Walk on Monday: Meet at the Lexington/Marais parking lot at 7:30 p.m. for the "Full Moon Walk" in Tenhave Woods.  Join with the Royal Oak Nature Society and experience the woods at a time of day that the park is normally closed.  You never know what you may hear and see when the light levels are low.  Bring a small flashlight.
  2. Liquor Control Committee meets on Tuesday: At 6:30 p.m., the Royal Oak Liquor Control Committee will meet on the third floor of City Hall. The committee meets monthly and is a good forum to attend if you are interested in learning about new or current businesses interested in obtaining a liquor license or ongoing liquor license issues.
  3. Royal Oak Restaurant Week returns on Friday: Enjoy more than 20 diverse and delicious destinations offering three-course lunch and dinner menus at $15, $25, and $35 from Mar. 1 through Mar. 9. Royal Oak Restaurant Week is a opportunity to rediscover a old favorite or experience a hot new eatery. No tickets or passes are necessary.
  4. Lenten fish fries on Friday: With the start of Lent comes the season of fish fries and there are a few places in Royal Oak where you can get your fish fry fix. Click here for a list of option on our event calendar.
  5. Bowl-a-thon on Sunday: You get three games, shoes, pizza, pop, and a chance at some great doorprizes at this fundraiser for Royal Oak Youth Assistance programming at Thunderbird Lanes in Troy. Click here for more information.
