5 Things to Know This Week: City Meetings, Food Truck Rally, Toy Show and More

There's a lot going on in Royal Oak this week. What do you have planned?

It's a busy week in Royal Oak, as usual. Here are five things you should know as you go about your week:

  1. City Commission meets Monday: The City Commission meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall. Click here for the agenda.
  2. Planning Commission meets Tuesday: The Planning Commission meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall. Click here for the agenda.
  3. Street Eats on Wednesday: It's a food truck rally from 5-9 p.m. at the Royal Oak Farmers Market. Bring the whole family for a gathering of Metro Detroit's finest food trucks and a variety of affordable food.
  4. Ghost river on Wednesday: Join the Royal Oak Nature Society and the Royal Oak Historical Society and learn about the Red Run river that used to flow through Royal Oak and what lived in it from Bob Muller, Royal Oak Nature Society naturalist. The talk begins at 7:20 p.m. at Royal Oak Middle School.
  5. Toy show on Saturday: The Royal Oak Toy Show will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Royal Oak Farmers Market. The show – one of the largest toy shows in the area – features antique and nostalgic toys and collectibles from different eras.
