5 Things to Know this Week: See a Game, Movie, Play and More

Here's what's happening in Royal Oak this week.

There's always a lot going on in Royal Oak. Here are some highlights this week:

1. See a game: The Royal Oak Sandlot League Kaline World Series Game 2 is at 7 p.m. Monday at . Game 3, if needed, will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Park. Details are at eteamz.com/royaloaksandlotleague.

2. See a movie: The Landmark in Royal Oak will be the screening location for all of the entries on Wednesday and Thursday. 3. See a play: The Water Works Theatre Company presents The Tempest at 8 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday at , Crooks Road at West 13 Mile Road. Details are at waterworkstheatre.com. Also, Stagecrafters Youth Theater presents Disney's Camp Rock the Musical at the Showtimes are noon Thursday, 7 p.m. Friday, 3 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday. Details are at stagecrafters.org.

4. Summer Readers Fair: All children who participated in the ’s Summer Reading Program are invited to attend the Summer Readers Fair from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Thursday. Games, activities, train rides and a tropical maze (socks required in maze) will be available at the this outdoor event.

5. Gilda's Club Night: A kickoff meeting for Family Walk and Health Fair 2011 will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. Friday at the , 401 E. Fourth St. in Royal Oak. After the meeting, stay for a barbecue with the Eagles and enjoy music, good food, a 50/50 raffle, prizes and more. Cost for the cookout is $5. Proceeds benefit Gilda's Club.
