'Bring One for the Chipper,' Recycle and Reuse Christmas Trees

Make holiday cleanup easy and "green" this season with free Christmas Tree Recycling.

Self-serve Christmas tree recycling is available at 11 Oakland County Parks from Dec. 26, 2012 – Jan. 13, 2013, seven days a week from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Independence Oaks in Clarkston and Orion Oaks in Orion Township will accept Christmas trees until Jan. 27, 2013.

The trees will be processed to make compost and wood chips that will be available to the public free of charge at Orion Oaks County Park on select days in 2013.
