Dairy Queen Free Cone Day Benefits Children’s Miracle Network

Celebrate the first day of spring with Dairy Queen on Free Cone Day.

Whether you’re craving vanilla, chocolate or a twist ice cream cone, visiting a Dairy Queen store on March 20 will treat your taste buds and benefit hospitalized kids at Beaumont Children’s Hospital.

More than 50 participating Southeast Michigan Dairy Queen locations are inviting people to come out and enjoy a cold, refreshing ice cream treat on Free Cone Day. The stores will give out free soft-serve ice cream cones from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. in exchange for a donation to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. The promotion raises funds for services and equipment to benefit hospitalized children at Beaumont Children's Hospital.

“Last year, nearly 30,000 free cones were served and more than $20,000 was raised on Free Cone Day,” says Matt Romkey, associate director Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals at Beaumont Children’s Hospital. “All of the money raised at DQ on Free Cone Day stays local and provides life-saving care for more than 100,000 sick and injured children treated at Beaumont Children’s Hospital each year.”
