Free Tax Assistance for Seniors
Tax preparation for residents with middle and low incomes is available at Royal Oak's Mahany/Meininger Senior Center
February through mid-April, tax preparation is provided on a first-come, first-serve basis at the Mahany/Meininger Senior Center in Royal Oak.
AARP-trained volunteers will assist seniors with free tax help and free e-filing for taxpayers with middle and low incomes.
Preparers will help with tax forms, including homestead rebate, home heating credit, Federal and State forms. Bring proof of identification, copy of 2012 tax returns, Social Security statement and other tax statements.
