Is It Winter Yet? The Latest on Roads, Weather in Royal Oak

The good news is that sunshine is expected to return Thursday.

Update, 1 p.m.: The sun is back out and drying up wet spots around town. The next chance of snow is Thursday night and Friday morning.

Update, 11 a.m.: Roads are clear in Royal Oak and all weather warnings and advisories are no longer in effect, according to the National Weather Service.

Update, 10 a.m.: Royal Oak Director Greg Rassel said there was no issue with the light dusting of snow the city saw this morning, but the department is busy getting prepared for bigger snowfalls in the near future.

“We are getting our snowplows ready and hopefully the weather will hold so we can complete next week,” he said. The last pickup is scheduled for Dec. 9.
