The Royal Oak Association of Retailers (ROAR) is teaming up with the Royal Oak Restaurant Association to present “Ladies Night Out”, the first big outdoor event of the year of its kind in downtown Royal Oak on Thursday, May 9 from 6 to 10 p.m.

This incredible night of fun for the Ladies is expected to feature over 50 retailers, salons, and restaurants offering everything from prizes to demonstrations, discounted goods and services, food tastings, food specials, and more, including:

  • Emagine Theatre is donating its trolley to shuttle women around the downtown area including from Lincoln and Woodward to 11 and Main
  • Noir Leather is offering foot massages by “sexy he-men” plus free new product demos and free product samples with a purchase
  • at Stella Boutique ladies can make a free greeting card and enjoy free appetizers, desserts and beverages courtesy of Café Muse

  • Nada & Company will also features special offers and demos
  • LA Fitness is supplying eye-candy for the Ladies in the form of muscle-bound guys to serve as hunky-style waiters a la the Chippendale dancers at various location along the route

“Last year we had about 1,500 women in attendance and we’re expecting twice that many this year because of the shuttles and the dozen restaurants that are expected to participate,” says Gary Baglio, President of ROAR and owner of Five 15 Media, Mojo & More. “Our business participation level is up this year and we’re expecting an incredible night of fun and frolic for the Ladies. Each time we have this event attendance seems to rise. Men are welcome to tag along if they want, but this night is definitely tailored toward women. It’s a way for the City to show off its diverse collection of stores and restaurants, and have a great time doing it.”
