Letter to Editor: Update on Rescued Dog, 'Isn't She Beautiful Now?

Royal Oak Patch readers might remember Maggie - a scraggly looking dog that was one of more than 350 Shih Tzu dogs rescued from a puppy mill in Allegan County in April. Well, you should see her now!

The following letter was sent to Royal Oak Patch by Cathi White, a Royal Oak resident and the founder of Shih Tzu and Japanese Chin Rescue:

I know how much Royal Oak Patch liked our Shih Tzu rescue dogs, so I wanted to send you an updated photo of Maggie.

Maggie is one of the more than in April. The dogs were found in horrible shape.

Maggie is the first dog shown in the video Royal Oak Patch did when the dogs we rescued had their . She was very timid, and the dog that had the worst eyes.

Look at the attached picture of Maggie now! When people pass up the scraggly looking dogs at the shelters, I just wish they could visualize what a few months of proper care can do.
