Lily's Seafood Hosts Tartan Day Celebration in Royal Oak

Scottish ales, Single Malt scotch flights, traditional Scottish meals, bagpipers, and live Celtic music are just some of the highlights for this year's event.

Come all you Lads and Lasses from Scotland, those of Scottish descent, or for that matter anyone who just plain old likes the best Single Malts, bagpipes, Celtic music, delicious authentic Scottish foods, hairy legged men in kilts, or even the taste of butterscotch or even if you just use Scotch tape!

Lily’s Seafood at 410 South Washington Avenue in Downtown Royal Oak is celebrating its 9th anniversary of Tartan Day on Thursday, April 4 from 5 p.m. to close with excellent Celtic music from “Tartanious Flynn”, bagpipers, authentic made-from-scratch Scottish foods, the finest Single Malts and more. The menu includes foods good enough to make a true Scotsman homesick and that you can’t find anywhere else, including:

  • Cock-a-Leekie Soup
  • Partan Brie Soup
  • Pork Pies
  • Finnan Haddie, Oatmeal Crusted Lamb Chops
  • Orange glazed Salmon With sweet pea stuffed Cabbage
  • Specialty craft Scottish beers
  • Many more delicious meals, including Haggis!

“We’re going all out this year to really bring the true taste and feel of Scotland to Royal Oak,” says Bob Morton, co-owner of Lilys. “Not only do we have great food and entertainment, but we have Single Malt flight featuring the best Malts available, as well as that wily Scotsman Franklin coming back for the 9th year to do the famous Robert Burn poem, Ode to a Haggis” A good time will be had by all!”
