Meetings, Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser, Food Trucks and More

There's a lot going on in Royal Oak this week. What do you have planned?

It's a busy week in Royal Oak, as usual. Here are five things you should know as you go about your week:

  1. City Commission meets Monday: The City Commission meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall. Click here for the agenda.
  2. Honor Guard Spaghetti Dinner on Tuesday: Bring your family and friends to the Royal Oak Farmers Market  and enjoy a spaghetti dinner to support the Royal Oak Police Honor Guard. The all-you-can-eat dinner will be served from 5-8 p.m. Tickets are $10; $5 for children 5-10; under 5 eat free.
  3. Street Eats on Wednesday: It's a food truck rally from 5-9 p.m. at the Royal Oak Farmers Market. Bring the whole family for a gathering of Metro Detroit's finest food trucks and a variety of affordable food.
  4. Board of Education meets Thursday: The school board meeting starts at 7 p.m. at the board offices. The meeting agenda is expected to be posted later in the week at royaloakschools.com.
  5. Fire Department Century Celebration on Saturday: Celebrate a century of service with the Royal Oak Fire Department at the Royal Oak Historical Society Museum. For additional information email curator@royaloakhistoricalsociety.org or phone 248-439-1501.
