New day and time for the 11th annual Holiday Magic Parade in Downtown Royal Oak

The parade, presented by Star Lanes Restaurant & Sports Bar at Emagine Royal Oak, offers family fun before, during and after the parade!

Downtown Royal Oak invites families to the 11th Annual Holiday Magic Parade presented by Star Lanes Restaurant & Sports Bar at Emagine Royal Oak on Sunday, Nov. 18at 2 p.m. The parade starts at Lincoln and Washington and heads north on Washington to Fourth Street where it heads west and ends at Lafayette. 

This Downtown Royal Oak parade will once again kick off the holiday season by showcasing over 80 parade units including marching bands, floats from the Parade Company, circus performers, dance troupes and more!  Be sure to check out the new parade units this year including the Detroit Derby Girls and music from Neon Crush and the Motor City Melodies.  Jay Towers, Anchor of Fox 2 News Weekend and Morning Host on Fresh 100.3, will serve as the parade’s Grand Marshal, along with one lucky winner, selected through a holiday contest. 

This year, new, unwrapped toys will be collected along the parade route again, and will be donated to the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Oakland County’s Holiday Basket Program helping close to 1,000 people during the holiday season.

Over 40 downtown businesses have joined together for Parade-a-Palooza from 11am – 5pm on  parade day.  Enjoy huge, one-day holiday savings, family friendly activities, and win fabulous prizes. Pick up your prize passport and map the day of the parade at participating locations.

Before the parade, stay warm by running through the parade route at Santa Scamper, a Fun Run at 1:30pm.  For more information, visit www.santascamper.org.

After the parade, there will be visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus at Emagine Theater from 3-5 p.m.  A shuttle will be available at 5th & Lafayette to take guests to the visits.
