was filled packed with classic cars and trucks Saturday for the Dream Cruise in Royal Oak.

Jeff Knill, who spent much of the day in the park with friends and family, drove from Warren with his 1965 AMC Marlin.

Other cars in the park on Saturday are used run less often. For instance, Sue and Steve Christophersen's 1957 Chevy funny car runs only a few minutes at a time.

Built in 2008, the body sits on a dragster chassis and is powered by a 526-ci Hemi. Of all the cars at Memorial Park on Saturday, the Susie Q is probably one of the very few to ever top 214 mph on a quarter-mile drag strip.

"We wanted a funny car that didn't look like a funny car," Steve Christophersen said.
