Royal Oak Churches Plan Ash Wednesday Services
Christians of many denominations will attend Lenten services in and around Royal Oak.
Lent is the season of reflection and fasting leading to Easter. Royal Oak Patch brings you a list of area churches offering services on Ash Wednesday, the beginning of the Lenten season.
- First Congregational Church of Royal Oak: Ash Wednesday service, 7 p.m.
- First Presbyterian Church of Royal Oak: Ash Wednesday Lenten soup supper, 6 p.m.; Ash Wednesday worship service, 6:45 p.m.
- First United Methodist Church: Service of Ashes, 7:30 p.m.
- Good Shepherd Lutheran: Soup supper, 6 p.m.; Lenten service, 7 p.m.
- Shrine of the Little Flower: Ash Wednesday Masses, 6:30 a.m., 8:30 a.m., noon and 7 p.m.
- St. Dennis Catholic Church: Ash Wednesday Masses, 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.
- St. Mary Catholic Church: Ash Wednesday Masses, 10 a.m. and noon at St. Mary; 7 p.m. at St. James
- St. John's Episcopal Church: Service of Ashes, 6:30 a.m., noon and 7:30 p.m.
- St. Paul's Lutheran: Midweek Lenten worship, 3:45 p.m. and 7 p.m.
