Royal Oak Historical Society and South Oakland Art Association Partner for Art Show

The 'Art at the Museum' art show and sale will be held at the Royal Oak Historical Society Museum starting Oct. 5 and continuing through Oct. 27.

"The and the South Oakland Art Association partner for the month of October for the first of what both groups hope will be an annual affair," says Muriel Versagi, museum curator.

The Art at the Museum art show and sale will kick off with a first night party (black tie optional) featuring champagne and hors d'ourves, music by the jazz sextet, followed by Cello Bella.  A ticket for the party is $20 and includes a prize giveaway for framed Giclée artwork.

The party is from 5-9 p.m. on Oct. 6. Parking is free. Proceeds will benefit both organizations.

The Art at the Museum art show and sale continues from Oct. 9 to Oct. 27 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays 1-4 p.m. and Sundays from 2-5 p.m.

The show features 37 local artists with over 250 fine art paintings, fine crafts of glass, clay, wood and metal.

Informational post cards and flyers will be at many art stores, galleries and businesses in the area as well as the and Royal Oak senior centers.
