Royal Oak in Bloom is Sunday

Mother's Day event opens the the Royal Oak Chamber of Commerce outdoor event season.

As May approaches, more than 5,000 local residents have quietly waited for Royal Oak’s best kept secret to signal the true beginning of Spring. They’ve waited for a sign that it is indeed time to start planning and planting their gardens. That sign is an annual Royal Oak Chamber event: Royal Oak in Bloom

On Sunday from 7 a.m. – 2 p.m., over 70 vendors will bring everything from flowers to plants to stone to lighting to pools to landscaping décor and participate in the 20th Annual Royal Oak in Bloom. This open-air market is filled with a spectacular selection of garden treasures and color, taking place in the Williams Street parking lot located in front of City Hall and the Royal Oak Public Library.

Local farmers like the VanHouttes, Brainer, Gaiers, and Uhlianuk family as well as farmers from as far away as West Michigan, Ohio and Canada bring an impressive array of annuals, perennials, herbs, hanging baskets, vegetables, herbs and more for local gardeners to plant.
