Royal Oak Remembers 9/11
Royal Oak residents and others from around the community remember the Sept. 11 attacks on the United States 10 years ago today.
On the 10-year anniversary of the devastating Sept. 11 attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon outside Washington, DC, and the crash of the hijacked airliner in Pennsylvania, Royal Oak leaders, first responders and residents remember and reflect.
"It was a day we will never forget," Mayor Jim Ellison said. "It's been 10 years, but it seems like only yesterday."
Ellison was on hand to pay tribute to those who died that day.
