Historic Newspapers Arrive at Museum

The Royal Oak Historical Society makes room for bound volumes of the Daily Tribune.

Bound volumes of the Daily Tribune arrived at the Royal Oak Historical Society Museum Sunday with a little help from Boy Scout Troop 1610.

The scouts picked up the bound editions from the Berkley Historical Museum and brought them to Royal Oak. The editions, beginning in the 1920s through the 1960s, were originally part of The Burton Historical Collection of the Detroit Public Library.

Volunteers donated time and labor to build new shelving units for the volumes to provide easier access by visitors.
