Snapshots: Memorial Day Around Michigan

Here's a look at the Memorial Day weekend around Michigan, from parades to tributes to fairs and barbecues.

Memorial weekend went from gloomy and rainy to hot and sunny, but the weather didn't seem to keep crowds away from the dozens of parades and hundreds of community events around southeast Michigan.

Here's a quick look at what went on in Patch communities over the holiday weekend:

Oakland Township: Guardian Angel Cemetery to honor servicemen and women and veterans, accompanying its , a tribute to every Michiganian killed in service to his country.
