SOCRRA'S Holiday Recycling Guide

Find out what can and cannot be recycled during the holidays.

The holiday season is upon us!

At the Southeastern Oakland County Resource Recovery Authority (SOCRRA), it is a season where recyclers have a few more questons than usual about what can and cannot be recycled.

The photos show holiday recyclables accepted by SOCRRA for recycling through curbside and drop-off programs— not just during the holidays, but year round.

Please dispose (or reuse if possible!) the following items:

  • Disposable party supplies such as used paper plates, napkins and plastic utensils,
  • plastic wrap
  • ribbon
  • packing peanuts
  • plastic bubble wrap
  • Styrofoam
