UPDATE: 900 Still Without Power after Thursday Storm

Many Royal Oak residents face another day of no electricity.

Update, 5:30 a.m.: DTE Energy's power outage map shows two areas of 200+ customers without power and several other small outages in Royal Oak, including:

  • 288 customers affected in the area by Normandy Oaks Golf Course, between 14 Mile and Normandy, east of the railroad tracks. An estimated restoration time is not available.
  • 511 customers affected in the area by Red Run Golf Club between 12 and 13 Mile roads, east of Rochester Road with restoration expected Sunday night, according to the DTE outage map.

Thursday, 6 p.m.: Hundreds of Royal Oak residents were left without power Thursday afternoon, in the wake of a severe spring storm. 

The largest area of affected DTE Energy customers is between 10 Mile and Lincoln, from west of Main Street to just east of Campbell Road.
