PHOTOS: Zombies Invade Downtown Royal Oak

The fifth annual World Zombie Day took over the streets of downtown Royal Oak on Saturday afternoon.

Grant Park was the meeting place Saturday for more than 300 zombies willing to endure the drizzling rain while roaming the streets of downtown Royal Oak for a good cause.

Gleaners Community Food Bank puts the Zombie Walk together every year to collect donations of funds and nonperishable foods. In 2011, zombies donated 2,551 pounds of food and more than $5,400, according to the Zombie Walk Detroit website.

The Walk Against Hunger is a part of World Zombie Day.
