Weather Advisory: Overnight Sleet, Snow Mix Expected

Drivers urged to use caution as wintry mix will make roads slick and driving treacherous.

Royal Oak residents should prepare for more wintry weather headed our way.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Royal Oak and the surrounding communities from 4 a.m.-noon Tuesday.

Rain, snow and freezing rain are expected after 4 a.m. as temperatures hover around 30 degrees. As rush hour nears, sleet is expected to enter into the mix before rain arrives sometime between 7 a.m.-1 p.m. , the weather service said.

The conditions could make early morning driving hazardous because of slippery roadways and limited visibility.

Highs are expected to near 36 degrees Tuesday.
