Winter's Not Over Yet: Storm Warning in Effect Tonight

Heavy icing could complicate the Wednesday morning commute and cause power outages, the National Weather Service warns.

Spring has sprung, but Old Man Winter isn't through with us yet.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning in effect from 8 tonight until 8 p.m. Wednesday in southeast Michigan, making for a potentially hazardous morning commute.

"Large amounts of freezing rain, sleet and snow across the region" could coat power lines and tree limbs with ice and result in outages, the forecasting agency warned.

Complications from icing could be compounded by high winds during the storm, the NWS said.
