MORE ABOUT...
AMY GORE AND HER VALENTINES: Amy Gore is a singer who writes and plays guitar. Her songs are rock anthems, with a slammin’ pop bite and a hint of country. Her music features heavy-hitting beats with electrifying riffs. She has released three albums, her latest featuring the Valentines is entitled “In Love.” She has performed at all the music venues in the city, and throughout the US, opening for Blondie’s Endangered Species tour as “Gorvette,” stemming from a collab with Nikki Corvette.
CANDY BAND: Born in May of 2003, this group of local Moms have 5 CD’s to their name. They play rockin’ kids music with an edge and have played hundreds of schools, libraries and street fairs around Detroit and everywhere from New York to Chicago.
THE DETROIT SCHOOL OF ROCK AND POP MUSIC: The Detroit School of Rock and Pop Music is a musical community led by some of the finest professional musicians in Metro Detroit. The DSRP helps people begin with lessons and gives them experience with rock and pop bands, jazz ensembles and various recitals, concerts and events as they progress. They make their own recordings and television shows and also have a summer camp that travels across the country. They have performed in New York, Chicago, Memphis, Nashville, Cleveland and many places in between including local community festivals and events like Arts, Beats and Eats and The Royal Oak Commission for the Arts "Art ExploredLIVE" summer concerts series. Through their sister organization, The Live The Music Foundation, they provide scholarships to the school for students in need, advocate for live music in our community, and much needed equipment grants that make events like the Bestest Concert happen.
ROYAL OAK HIGH SCHOOL JAZZ COMBO: A revolving cast of jazz loving teenagers make up this combo.
So….Load the family in the car, put on your dancing shoes, arrive hungry and let’s ROCK!!!
