Community Corner

Community Apple Days at Wayne State University

The Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Wayne State University is hosting a community-wide open house on Wednesday, Oct. 30 to raise awareness of careers in the health sciences, while  at the same time promoting healthy lifestyles through good nutrition, physical fitness, and disease prevention.

Community Apple Days will offer free
blood sugar testing, flu vaccinations, and diabetes education,  a student-run healthy fun zone, admissions information session, poster sessions, driving simulations, healthy snacks and so much more. Researchers and college representatives will be on hand to answer any questions about career options and the college.

There will also be hands-on workshops, games and raffles.

The event is free and open to the public.
