Independent Film Series at the Royal Oak Public Library

The Royal Oak Public Library continues its Independent Film Series on Saturday, January 26 at 2:00 pm with the showing of Foreign Letters.

A 12-year-old immigrant girl from Israel is lonely until she meets a Vietnamese refugee her own age. Based on the filmmaker’s own experience, the film is a story about prejudice, poverty, shame, and the power of friendship to heal us. 99 minutes in English, Hebrew, and Vietnamese with English subtitles.
