Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Group Meeting

Grandparents Raising Grandchildren (GRG) will be having a free support group meeting and a presentation on April 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Leo Mahany/Harold Meininger Senior Community Center (3500 Marais Ave., Royal Oak, MI).

There will be a presentation by Linda Vanderwaal, Associate Director of OLHSA re-entry programs, Melissa Rush, Head Start Connections Coordinator and Loretta Smith, Father Factor Systems Navigator.

Topics include inmate/family relationships, prisoner re-entry, how to talk to kids about incarceration and how to keep kids and incarcerated parents connected.

Lunch will be served at 11:45 a.m. at the senior center and it is $3 (pay on our own). Call 248-246-3900 at least one day in advance to make a reservation for lunch.
