“Great Smoky Mountains National Park”
“Great Smoky Mountains National Park” is being held on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2013 beginning 7:30 pm at the Royal Oak
Middle School (709 N. Washington between 11 Mile Rd & Catalpa). Great Smoky Mountains National Park welcomes
more visitors in a year than any other national park. Located on the Tennessee-North Carolina
border, this park has become well known for its biodiversity. Join Gordon Lonie, retired
Sterling Heights naturalist, for
an introduction to the human and natural history of the park. This program includes plenty of flowers,
waterfalls, salamanders and a guaranteed black bear sighting.
