You Can't Take It With You -- Royal Oak High School Drama Club

The critically acclaimed Royal Oak High School Drama Club will perform the comedic play You Can’t Take It With You by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart on March 21 at 7 p.m., March 22 at 7p.m. and March 23 at 2 p.m.

The original play from 1936 won a Pulitzer Prize and the 1938 film won two Oscars, one for Best Picture. The ROHS production is directed by Ed Nahhat (Water Works Theatre) and Brittany Ward, both of whom are graduates of Royal Oak schools.

The story of You Can’t Take It With You rings true to this day: a culture clash between free spirits and the well-to-do and two families so different who when brought together by love, find a way to meet in the middle. It’s a great way to spend the first day of spring!
