Mandated Pre-School is Dictatorship, Whether Local or National
Public School system is tyrannical monopoly
If I were conspiracy-minded, I would see our current President as a totalitarian, as were Stalin and Hitler. He loves issuing Executive Orders -- including his potential move to mandate pre-school. Included in this conspiracy is the entire Public Education community (school boards, principals, teachers, and their respective unions).
I take it as a given that our Public School system is totally tyrannical. Where else in American life, except in the Military, can you force citizens -- in this case, their kids -- to devote a specified number of hours per day and days per year in a specified building and listen to specified instruction, including specified political indoctrination, however disguised? And control what they eat.
K through 12 isn't enough for these tyrants. Now they want to mandate pre-school.

Control the subject (there are no citizens in a tyranny) from cradle to grave seems to be the goal here. Undoubtedly, they are following Plato, who also insists that the state will decide into which level of a controlled society each individual will be assigned.
Then, of course, there is the money motive: An ever-increasing supply of public sector jobs, salaries, and retirement benefits.

I don't think of myself as conspiracy-minded, but I can see how conspiracy theories might arise.
Voluntary pre-school, good. Mandated pre-school, bad.
