Short, sweet CITCOM meeting lasts less than an hour
The most noteworthy development at the meeting was that Kyle DuBuc has shaved off his beard. A great improvement.
> Ten or 25 minutes were devoted to addressing several dimensions of Suicide Prevention Week.
> The first of several amendments to the Animal Shelter was approved.
> The First Reading of the Repeal of the Municipal Cable Access Committee> Ordinance was approved.
> Conditional Rezoning was approved for a piece of property on East Eleven Mile.
> Filling a vacancy in the Treasurer's Office was approved.
> No development or new data have made it necessary to install a traffic light at Sixth and Main, although Mayor Jim Ellison suggested thought be given to substantially improving the crosswalk there.
> Some sort of Health and Wellness program was recommended and approved, since apparently there will be no cost to the City.
Five Public Comment speakers addressed: suicide prevention, taxis with no plates or license, protecting the War Memorial, the remaining Motels, noise from 2 a.m. music, and motorcycles. Even they were concise, taking just over 10 minutes overall.
