This event is held in conjunction with National Cancer Survivors Day, which is celebrated worldwide the first Sunday of June to show the world that life after a cancer diagnosis can be meaningful and productive, and that our communities are filled with an active, productive cancer survivor population. The National Cancer Survivors Day Foundation defines "a survivor" as anyone living with a history of cancer - from the moment of diagnosis through the remainder of life.
