Night to Make a Difference

On February 11, 2011 at the historic Cobblestone Farms in Ann Arbor, the non-profit organization, Dance Marathon at the University of Michigan (DMUM), will host their first annual benefit gala, Night to Make a Difference. This gala will aim to provide a unique opportunity to community members to learn about DMUM’s cause, interact with beneficiaries of the organization, and enjoy a night of good food and good company. All of the proceeds of the event will help to further the continued growth of DM's fundraising efforts.

As the largest student run non-profit in the state of Michigan, the students involved in DMUM raise funds and awareness for pediatric rehabilitation programs provided through C.S. Mott Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor, and William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. Over the past 13 years, DMUM has raised over $3 million for therapies not typically covered by most insurance agencies. By hosting the Night to Make a Difference gala, DM hopes to reach out to a wider variety of communities, demographics, and organizations to increase future participation in the organization and maximize their impact on the community.
