What Day is Thanksgiving 2013?

Or, maybe more importantly to shoppers, when is Black Friday?

This article was written by Gideon Rubin.

While we all usually remember that Thanksgiving falls on the fourth Thursday of November, the date is always different, and while smart phones can do a lot, the calendars don't list holidays. (Don't you hate that?)

So we at Patch are here to let you know that this year Thanksgiving is Nov. 28.  And, as you might have heard, that happens to be the first day of Hannukah, a super unusual occurrence in the calendar world.

And because Thanksgiving is late this year, that means all you Black Fridayshoppers have to wait almost a whole extra week to get your sales frenzy on. Sorry! Though the big news this year is that some major retailers, such as Macy's, are breaking tradition and opening their doors after dinnertime on the 28th.

Happy holidays!
